A Gartner survey of 160 finance leaders, conducted from January to April 2026, indicates that data extraction, accounts payable and receivable automation and report generation usually deliver results in about 9 to 10 months. More complex cases, such as forecasting or insight generation, take longer.
With Odoo 20, presented on 24 September 2026, the system adds an accounting assistant that answers questions about reports, audits reconciliations and lets you pay bills from Odoo, plus agents that create automations from natural-language instructions. It is a vendor announcement; the entry includes no customer results.

The account reconciliation agent in Dynamics 365 Finance compares subledgers with the general ledger, detects differences and proposes what to do with each one, with a rationale. Microsoft has kept it in preview since April 2025 and its 2026 release plan expects general availability in September 2026; we could not confirm that it has already happened.
In February 2026 Sage Spain launched a Sage 50 mobile app aimed at managers and owners of small businesses, with voice activity summaries and queries on sales, customer payments and invoices. Sage says it validated it with a two-month pilot with 20 customers, without publishing savings figures.
