Advertising and sponsorship policy

What counts as advertising on this site, how to recognise it and what we guarantee to readers. Every sponsor accepts these rules.

What counts as advertising here

Advertising is anything a third party pays Agents Finance for (money, product or service): the sticky bottom bar, the sponsor of the month, the discreet banner, category sponsorship, the featured listing and, in the future, a newsletter slot. Directory entries are never advertising: they cannot be bought, paid for or commissioned.

How to recognise it

  • Every paid element carries a visible “Sponsored” label before the message, on every screen size, and looks different from entries (its own frame and background).
  • The newsletter, if it ever carries sponsorship, will start the block with “Advertisement” and name who pays for it.
  • Paid links carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and open in a new tab, with a notice for screen readers.
  • We add UTM parameters (utm_source=agentsfinance.io, utm_medium=sponsor, utm_campaign and utm_content) so the sponsor can attribute visits.

Editorial independence

  • Sponsors do not choose what we publish, do not review entries before they go live and cannot ask for changes to content, level of evidence or order.
  • Sponsorship does not buy reviews, comparisons or rankings. An entry about a sponsor follows the same criteria as any other.
  • Conflicts of interest: if an entry covers a product of a current sponsor, the entry says so in a notice under its summary.
  • We do not accept misleading ads, unverifiable claims or unsupported superlatives, or illegal products. We review every ad’s text and may reject or withdraw it.
  • If a sponsor ends, its entries stay as they are; only the notice disappears.

Where each format appears

  • Sticky bottom bar: on most pages, with up to 4 sponsors at a time.
  • Sponsor of the month: its own block on the home page, one at a time.
  • Discreet banner: at the end of entries, of the entries list and of category pages.
  • Category sponsorship: at the top of the page of one ERP, process or type, exclusively.
  • Featured listing: a separate card above the list, never mixed in with editorial entries.
  • We show no advertising on this page, on the privacy policy, on the sponsorship page or on the 404 error page.

The sticky bar: how it behaves

  • It is a low, narrow strip that does not cover content or the footer and does not move the layout while loading.
  • Text scrolls only if you have not asked your system for “reduce motion”. It pauses on mouse hover or keyboard focus, and it has a pause button.
  • With “reduce motion” there is no animation: you can scroll it by hand.
  • The close button hides it for 7 days; that reminder is stored only in your browser (localStorage).

What we measure

Aggregate visits with Vercel Web Analytics (no cookies) and, if the Vercel plan allows it, sponsor_view and sponsor_click events with the sponsor and the format. We use no ad networks or third-party trackers, we do not sell data and we do not build profiles. Details in the privacy policy.

Questions, mistakes or complaints

Write to [email protected]. If you see a paid element without a label or an undisclosed conflict of interest, we will fix it. If you want to advertise, here is the media kit. Last review: October 17, 2026.
