NewsEvidence: Announcement

Sage 50 adds an AI-powered mobile app to check sales, collections and invoices

Summary: In February 2026 Sage Spain launched a Sage 50 mobile app aimed at managers and owners of small businesses, with voice activity summaries and queries on sales, customer payments and invoices. Sage says it validated it with a two-month pilot with 20 customers, without publishing savings figures.

What it does

The app syncs with Sage 50 and lets you check the state of the business, sales, customer payments and invoice status, and also create quotes from your phone. The AI part generates voice summaries of activity, identifies best-selling products or most active customers and automates tasks such as reminders and meeting scheduling.

Reported result or impact

Sage says the feature was designed after customer interviews and surveys and tested for two months with 20 customers, who confirmed ease of use and value for their daily operations. No metrics on time saved or accuracy are published.

Mind the evidence. A communication from the vendor itself or from a news outlet about a launch. It describes what the product promises, not verified results.

How to replicate it

New Sage 50 customers get the feature when they sign up; existing ones can add it when they renew their license or ask for early activation. If you are an advisory firm (gestoría), ask your Sage 50 clients whether they are interested before renewal and assess which company data becomes accessible from the manager’s phone, so you can define who may use the app.

What to keep in mind

  • It is aimed at the manager or owner, not the accounting team: it is a query-and-management layer, not an agent that posts entries by itself.
  • The source is Sage’s partner portal, that is, a communication from the vendor itself.
